A celebration of "Lost Empires"
Merivale Editions has discovered a small collection of lost theatre
posters from the 1930s printed by the theatrical printers Taylor's
of Wombwell.
During the 1930s, Taylor's of Wombwell in Yorkshire were leading
lithographic printers of posters for provincial theatres. Colour
posters for the annual pantomime production were a speciality.
After lying undisturbed for sixty years a small quantity of the
original stock has now come to light. This is an unusual opportunity
to acquire a genuine vintage poster, in virtually new condition
at a reasonable price.
